Medicare Options

Medicare provides health insurance benefits to individuals aged 65 and older, as well as younger people with disabilities and those with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Medicare has four main parts: Part A (hospital insurance), Part B (medical insurance), Part C (Medicare Advantage), and Part D (prescription drug coverage). Part A covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and some home health care. Part B covers doctor's visits, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services. Part C, or Medicare Advantage, offers alternative ways to receive Medicare benefits through private insurance plans. Part D helps with the cost of prescription drugs.
